Chambor Silver Shadow Compact "RR2 Rose Pale" (product review)

be beautiful with punam

As I am not the one who wears make up daily. I always wanted to use a compact that can be directly applied on sunscreen or moisturizer to get good coverage and oil control and then I discovered this great compact from Chambor that fulfilled my needs.

It’s a great compact for ladies who don’t prefer to wear foundation daily but need something for slight coverage.

Price: 895 INR for compact + a refill pack

Quantity: 16 g x 2= 32g

The extra refill is properly packed with the instruction behind to insert the refill in the casing.

I first remark on packaging. Visually it’s a feast for the eyes. The compact is small and handy. Slim and compact with the beautiful Chambor trademark rose on the cover. I like how they have standardized packaging. It’s not like brittle plastic and all. It looks like a gunmetal case...Fits the puff and mirror inside so you carry this around for the touch ups on the go.Puff is soft and application is easy and typical of any other compact.

Well I do like this powder. I use it as a finishing powder after I have put on my make up base and on daily basis I directly apply on my moisturizers and good to go.

It helps set my make up very well and makes it last longer.

Even when I apply it on my moisturizer it hides normal blemishes and my dark circles to good extent. It can be used alone over foundation.

It’s too humid here so I have also applied it on my bare face and it gives decent coverage and matte effect.

Controls my oil for 4-5 hours even in this humid weather of Bhopal. Even while travelling and in direct sun its effect lasted for 4-5 hours. After that my t zone was oily but not my whole face.

I have very oily and acne prone skin but it never broke me out.

It is oil free, non comedogenic and also has SPF.

It’s not chalky or pasty. It blends well with little effort and gives matte finish instantly.

RR2 is the shade meant for those who have fair skin with pink tone personally feel it may give whitish cast if I am not care full.

Shade selection: It’s available in 4 shades- rr1 ivorie, rr2 rose pale, rr3 sable, rr4 noistte.

On my bare eyes :

Good:

  • Texture is neither chalky nor pasty rather it’s smooth.
  • Blends easily and gives good coverage.
  • Can be worn alone over moisturizer and also on foundation, works best with both of them and even on bare face.
  • Controls oil and also water resistant.
  • Gives matte finish till 5 hours.
  • Non comedogenic and never broke my oily acne prone skin.

Bad:

  • Limited shade selection
  • Contains parabens

Overall:
Since I have got it I have loved it. It keeps my skin oil free and fresh. Hides my imperfection easily and highly. The best part is it is going to last long with the refill pack and also coz very little quantity is required. It’s a must have for oily skin beauties.

Some may feel it pricey but it’s worth it as very little quantity is required and it also contains refill pack.

Do leave your comments, they just make my day.

I got it from Chambor counter at Big Life C21 Mall & I didn't check this pencil at that time
as they gave the sealed one & when I came back home I thought of trying it & initially I was not
able to roll it & once when eyerliner came out ,it dint go back coz of mechanism error &
it really got messy& whole liner came out.I think there was some problem in the batch of liner i got or
probably i dint get the good one any ways.

Chambor Enriched Revitalizing Make Up (product review)

be beautiful with punam

Price: 995 INR for 30 ml

I am using shade 301 enriched honey

Ingredients:

My experience:

This comes with a pump dispenser, which is easy to use & gives enough
quantity for face & neck.

It has got spf 18 which is really good.

Its fragrance is ok not very troubling for me.

It’s thick in consistency & doesn’t absorb in to skin easily. Even with a foundation brush & sponge it doesn’t blends that well.

Well initially it was nice gave dewy finish & glow to my face but after few hours it shows dry patches on corners of my lips & on forehead though I have oily skin.

Here are the swatches:
Before applying this foundation my mark was dark

After applying it:

It doesn’t gives full coverage but does conceal my marks to some extent & even out my skin tone.Being such a pricey product I expected it to give at least good coverage.

Overall I dint like it much mainly coz of dry patches & probably it may suit dry to normal skin.

Have you tried this product? Then please share your experience.

Keep smiling & be beautiful with punamJ
