Importance Of Oil For Your hair

So, I have been talking about my hair fall & 5 things helped me, here is the most important part of this series & that is oiling your hair. This was always irritating for me coz I can’t stand the stickiness of oils (chip chip) but this time I changed my priority to win back my hair.
So, without wasting anytime to think & search which oil can work for me I mixed all the oils available in my shelf like olive oil, coconut oil & almond oil. I’ll share the importance & effect of these oils later.
I apply oil with the help of cotton ball on my scalp so that I won’t feel the stickiness on my hands & this even helps in applying oil properly. Oil should be properly applied on the scalp so that it can reach roots & improves our hair follicles.
I never used too much of oil on my hair as it’s not required to dip your hair in oil & optimal use of oil will require lesser shampoo( means lesser chemicals) J
Why to oil your hair:
Unfortunately most of us are using harsh chemical (sls) based shampoos which can make our hair dry , applying oil before shampoo will protect your hair from being overly cleansed and becoming "squeaky clean" .
Applying oil can reduce split ends & frizzy ends by providing nourishment to your hair & its roots.
Oiling your hair everyday would be too much to ask for. But do this at least thrice a week for beautiful hair. It does make a lot of difference if you keep doing this regularly as it is bound to show on your hair.
The massaging and oiling of your hair stimulates the blood circulation, which in return helps your hair.
Honestly I have been skipping oil from at least a year or so & I am following these entire 5 things regularly from few months only & I can a huge change in my hair & oil helped in improving my hair texture.

Hope you will not forget to apply oil after reading this post.

Keep smiling & be beautiful :)

  1. hey Punam...I don't know if you have read my post on how to oil hair but yes, since I have started it, it showed remarkable improvements in my hair texture and growth as well but yes, its a difficult routine to follow to oil and wash hair every alternate day :( I do try to follow it but sometimes, I get lax and I had not been following it since two months and my hair is all dry and thin again so I have started it again now :) oh, that reminds me my hair diary post!!!
