This is my first product from ponds and my first bb cream.
I don’t know why somehow I am never attracted to try bb creams and though this is my third experience with bb cream... but the other two I never bought I tried my mom’s Maybelline bb cream and Kiehls bb cream sample (reviews coming soon)
So officially this is my first purchase of bb cream.
Price: 69 INR for 9gm and 125 for 18 gm (very affordable)
My experience:
Packaging: As usual I will start with packaging and it comes in simple pretty white tube, which is easy to use and travel friendly.
Texture:It is thick even thicker than Maybelline bb cream...because of this it takes little time to blend and also leaves little white cast but that settles down in a while. After that its gives a subtle glow and even skin tone.
It is easy to blend if your skin is well moisturized. I know this is bb cream so we expect some moisturization too from it but for dry skin moisturizer is required and even on my oily skin it makes dry patches around corner of lips and nose. So it’s better to use moisturizer as per your skin type.
Shade: I think I may get white cast because this shade is not a proper match for my skin tone but unfortunately they have launched it in one shade only..I wish soon ponds will launch more shades.
Staying capacity:In this humid weather it couldn’t stay on my oily skin for more than 2 hours.. I wear it without moisturizer as I can’t handle the layering of products in this humidity. And I have to touch up with my chambor compact immediately and after that touch ups are required after 2 hours but it does give subtle glow and gives even tone to my skin for whole day..It just can’t keep oil under control.
Coverage: It does give medium coverage to my dark circles and blemishes..It’s little better than Maybelline bb cream here.
Swatches:
Good:
Affordable
Good for regular wear..
With spf 30 and pa++ protection
Gives medium coverage
Brightens up face
Bad:
Not suitable for oily skin in summers
Less shade selection
Not so good coverage and stay.
Overall it’s a great budget bb cream in Indian market..This can be used daily. It’s good if used with separate moisturizer and compact. I wish to have more shades for all skin tones. And I think I may suit well to dry skin.
