I like moisturizers which are not thick & absorb into
skin quickly … esp. in summers I don’t want that too creamy feel all day long
,I simply want a lotion that hydrates without giving that over creamy cast and
then I got this lotion from Nivea that is my parents favorite brand when it
comes to need of moisture. This moisturizer also claims to provide UV
protection. Let’s find out how it goes??

My Experience:
It comes in a sturdy handy bottle with the flip- flop cap
that is tight & makes it travel friendly.
Its fragrance is like any other nivea product and I love
that basic nivea fragrance.
The product gets stuck on the top of cap, which is not very
good.

As I said I want a moisturizer that absorbs into skin easily,
this one get full marks on this parameter, coz it absorbs in to skin very quickly.
It spreads easily & quickly without leaving any residue
& greasy feel.
It doesn’t make me
feel over done & it is very light in texture & feel.
It leaves skin smooth but not very soft, still this is nice
in these summers and keeps my skin hydrated for all day long.
Now coming to the most important part i.e. UV protection
claim .This lotion doesn’t mention any SPF which is one of the most important
factors &I always prefer sunscreen that has titanium oxide as a sun
protection ingredient but it doesn’t have that.
For sure I need a separate sunscreen for saving my skin from
sun.
Ok it does says it has uva/uvb filter but they are not
enough to give any protection against the sun .It can be nice for those who are
more often away from direct sunlight. Like whenever I am at home I avoid
sunscreen & apply this lotion.
Products labeled broad spectrum or with UVA /UVB filters
doesn’t provide any good protection against Uva/Uvb rays. I think the best Uva/Uvb
protection is provided by products that contains zinc oxide, avobenzone, ecamzule and titanium oxide.
Good about it:
- Nice light fragrance
- Hydrates skin for long
- Doesn’t make skin too greasy
- Spreads easily
- Suitable for all skin type
- Goes a long way with this affordable price
Not so good:
- Product stuck on cap
- Claims of uva/uvb are not true
- Doesn’t have any spf

It completely absorbs into skin.
Conclusion:
Overall I like it as a regular body lotiom in these summers
coz it spreads well & keeps my skin hydrated for long without making it
over greasy but it cannot be a substitute for sunscreens.
